DCAC Community Programs
VSAarts/Michigan/Dearborn Programs
DCAC develops, funds and implements arts programs that enrich the lives of those
individuals with disabilities. The Annual Art on the Avenue Preview party serves as a major fundraiser for continued programs serving the special needs of our community.
Art For Young People
DCAC co-sponsors art enrichment classes for students, ages 4-16, in cooperation with Henry Ford Community College. Class fees are charged.
Art and Economic Development
DCAC brings the arts to business by working in cooperation with the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, local business associations and individual businesses.

Art on the Avenue
DCAC sponsors and coordinates the annual two-day juried art fair which features more than
150 artists from across the country and attracts an audience of approximately 20,000 people each year.
Dearborn Homecoming Art Festival
DCAC coordinates with the City of Dearborn the annual Homecoming Arts Festival during the three-day Community Festival at Ford Field. A variety of activities are planned each year to engage the young and young at heart for the summer weekend.
Artists In Action
The DCAC provides limited funding to support artists and performers involved with community events, e.g. Homecoming, Art on the Avenue, and others.
Summer Music Festival
DCAC, in cooperation with the Dearborn Recreation Department, sponsors the free weekly concert series during the month of July and early August.
Padzieski Art Gallery
DCAC in collaboration with the City
of Dearborn's Cultural Arts Division coordinates the Gallery, which features eight to ten exhibits each year. A Gallery Committee of local arts enthusiasts, instructors, business people share the responsibility of coordinating a wide variety of subjects and themed exhibits appealing to local, regional and national venues.
Art In Public Places
DCAC coordinates exhibitions that can be placed in various public buildings, e.g. the Court House, Centennial Library and other venues.
